Hearing the nahborhood tells me a lot

I’ve sold a few places in the city, but only know the ‘better’ parts of town from experience

Natasha’s neighborhood isn’t even close

“I’e her reaction, but she only seems remotely interested

Maybe the West Coast isn’t what she really wants

I only picked the location because it was the furthest way to go from where I was, in Seattle

I re I have a good reason now, but I don’t tell Natasha who it actually belongs to

“I’ her impressed look before I wince inside

“I didn’t mean it to sound like that,” I chuckle “It’s just a place to stay while the owner decides what to do with it,” I explain

“I prefer the snow, I think,” Natasha says, looking out thebefore pushing her plate an inch forward, done eating

Thewarm Hot almost, which is unusual for this time of year

“I’ve always preferred the North,” I adlad I can finally share that with so wide open spaces and having to wear a jacket most of the year

“Better for snuggling,” Natasha says quietly, blushing once she realizes I heard her

“Not too cold for kids though?” I counter, else

We could have a place anywhere she wants, but I don’t want to start acting like I have our whole life planned out already

Even though I kinda already do, I need her input onna be just how she wants it

Us

The word is so new to me, it’s on a permanent loop in my mind next to her name

She watcheswhen she coood

Eyeing her plate, which is still a third full, I al her to eat some more, but think better of it

She clearly has other things on her mind

Another thing, I should say

And it starts with an ‘S’

Suzanna

“We’ve got a few hours before we arrive,” I say, checkingto talk with her best friend
