“E”

I chuckled “I take it you’re a a fan”

“Oh, yes I beca Star Wars at a very young age…three or four All the fighting went over hts in space And I wanted to know about the planets and the whole galaxy” He set the lightsaber on the bed and pointed at the box “Can I peek?”

“Help yourself”

He put his briefs on, then sat cross-legged on the floor and riffled through the contents of the old box Other than the occasional comment about the quality of the print or the condition of a comic, he was quiet Moreover, he was relaxed…truly and utterly at ease The way people hen they were surrounded by things that made them happy

It was kind of…adorable

I sat beside hies of an old paperback, clandestinely watching Asher I didn’t know hiht self with this uber-chill geek, but I noticed that he didn’t see or even sponge-bathing after sex And sitting on the floor next to an unmade bed and dirty clothes strewn about didn’t see I’d stumbled upon clues to this mysterious man

He sifted through that old box for an hour or more, and if his stomach hadn’t rumbled noisily, I bet he’d have stayed another hour

“Hungry?” I winced as I stood My legs were cra I stretched my arms above my head, then offered him a hand “I have sandwich meats or—”

“No, thank you I should go I’ve stayed far too long and did all the things I toldyou’re a fellow space enthusiast”

“To be perfectly honest…since that’s what I’ to do here—I don’t knowtransported to places that didn’t look or see like my hometohen I was a kid That’s all,” I commented

“Hed the the roo was clean the last time I was here”

“I wasn’t expecting couy”

“So, you’re usually messy?”

“It’s not all that messy I just didn’t make the bed Do you make yours every day?” I held my hand up “Never mind I think I know the answer”
