“I’hton says, steel laced in her words It proves she’s paying ht Maybe she’s not so exhausted after all I bet if I tried to drag her out of here, she would put up a hell of a fight
My gaze returns to Saesture A silent male communication as if to say, “We have no clue what to do with this woman”
I stay with Sam for the next couple of hours We watch TV, and he dozes When he wakes up, he vohton, but she barely touches it Saether He ends up having a bout of uncontrollable diarrhea that soils the bed Leighton takes him into the bathroom to assist hie the bed linens so it’s all fresh by the time he returns
Lunch comes for Sam… warm broth and ice cream He valiantly tries both, but they irritate the sores in his mouth I step out of the room to ask the nurse about his inability to eat It concerns hton about it in front of Sam, because I don’t want to worry hih nutrition and hydration intravenously and even if he doesn’t eat for a few days, it’s not so to worry about
When I leave, Leighton averts her eyes Sam is actually in a decent mood, which makes my departure all the harder But I do have to leave for the office to clear a few things fro day… transplant day
